INK: Children's Museum

(July 2017)

In this post: A day trip to the Interactive Neighborhood for Kids, INK, a children's museum in Gainesville, Ga.

Hello, dear ones! My mom, the kids, and I found a gem a few hours away. The Interactive Neighborhood for Kids (INK) was worth the trip. We spent three hours exploring the children's museum. You get to explore it a bit quicker and from the comfort of home!

What's better than pretending to be a fireman, doctor, and pilot? Playing pretend with REAL doctor's equipment, a REAL fire truck, and a REAL airplane!

I'm so excited to share this trip with you! I apologize for the low quality of some of the pictures. I left my camera at home and had to use Mom's phone. I was able to get several pictures though so I'm happy. You can plan your own trip to INK by visiting the link below:

Toddler Castle Area to warm up for the big stuff

INK is huge and a bit overwhelming. The toddler room helps ease little ones into the idea of role-play.

The Neighborhood- Kids and adults alike can't help but fall in love with this role-playing dream! Kiddos get to explore real adult jobs and use real equipment (safely of course!).

Nana and Leeland taking a "ride".

The Vet's Office

Music Center and dress up theater

The Grocery Store- This was one of my favorites. The scanner really worked!

Leeland really loved shopping! I wonder what wild recipes he has! Ha!

The Bank- The nifty atm worked except it wouldn't connect to get money.

Michael had fun with the credit card while Leeland answered phones!

The Beauty Parlor- for the young at heart. Nana and Leeland had fun.

Meanwhile...

Michael the X-ray technician!

Michael- the Dentist!

I don't really smile this much at the dentist. I'm glad there were no drills!

Nana the Doctor! My mom is a CNA but this day she became a doctor. She really looks the part!

Firetrucks, police cars, oh my! (Not pictured- Train play)

Police Car and ATV- We were all amazed by the real vehicles.

The neatest part- the lights worked!

The Fire Truck and (not pictured) 911 Call Center

Down on the farm!

There was also a farmer's market with felt vegetables.

The Post Office, Recording Studio, Airport, Boat, and Human Body Area

Part of the Human Body exhibit was closed for construction.

The REAL Airplane-we could control the tail fins! Michael loved this part the most.

Inside a real airplane!

Leeland's favorite part-go figure! Ha!

All I got of the Post Office- I love the wooden letters!

Out to sea with Michael!

The Movie Studio

A brief encounter in Space!

Inside the Human Body!

We circled back to the middle to have fun in the 50's Diner!

I think this was my favorite section or at least it tied with the grocery store.

I baby wiped this one lol.

Thanks for hanging out with us! God bless & remember the High King lives! ~Amber Dover
